Here are 5 style choices to get you started for the Fall.
The Fall is almost here and there are definitely many ways to start prepping for a current and stylish wardrobe. Footwear is one of the most important elements to anyones' wardrobe and can be challenging not knowing how to transition from the previous warm seasons. I have put together 5 different boot styles to help you prep this year for the Fall season and possibly into winter as well.
The Desert Boot
The Desert Boot is a semi-casual boot with a classic style that gives you a clean look. This one has a hard bottom sole, but the style is also made with a soft bottom sole which makes it more causal. I prefer the hard bottom because they are already super causal so it adds a formal touch to the style.
These can be worn the most with chinos or denim pants with a cuff at the bottom (add yourself). The cuff keep your pants from bunching up onto the shoe if the pants are not cropped short already. I try to stay away from wearing them with suit pants/dress slacks because the causal-ness of the shoe just makes your feet look way too underdressed worn with such a dressy pant.
The Timberland Boot
The Timberland Boot is one of the more casual of the 5 boot styles. The bulkiness of the shoe design along with its thick sole gives it a very casual look. Typically made for hiking in the outdoors, the Timberland Boot has made a major impact in stylish streetwear.
This boot can be worn the most with denim jeans, but can be styled with chino pants for a good look. I would stay away from dress slacks/dress pants because once again they are too casual when matched up with dress pants.
The Chelsea Boot
The Chelsea Boot is probably my favorite out of the 5 boot styles. Its a very sexy semi-casual dress boot. This particular style has a hard bottom sole, but it also comes in a soft sole that makes it more casual.
This boot can be worn the most with denim, chinos, and at times dress slacks (pants can be cuffed or cropped shorter for a stylish look). I would stay away from wearing them with a full suit look because they are not as formal as the traditional dress shoe.
The Wingtip Boot
The Wingtip Boot is very similar to the Wingtip Shoe. The difference is only in the body style that fits higher over the ankle. Its a semi-formal dress boot, but is very versatile in terms of how to style it.
This boot can be worn with almost anything, such as, denim jeans, chinos, dress slacks, and suit pants (pants can be cuffed or cropped shorter). The wingtip on the toe of the boot is a traditional design that will aways be timeless, so you could wear this boot for years and still be in style.
The Double Monk Boot
The Double Monk Boot is by for the most formal of the 5 boot styles. The less detail a shoe or boot has the more formal it is. This boot is very similar to the Double Monk Shoe, with the difference being only in the body style, which fits higher over the ankle. This boot style can be worn with almost any type of pants, such as jeans, chinos, dress slacks, and suit pants. The Double Monk is a popular shoe design that looks just as great on a boot.
