OOTD: STYLING VINTAGE CHECKERED PANTS

See full look styling my vintage checkered dress pants...
I am heavily into vintage shopping and spend a lot more time looking for vintage pieces rather than in retail stores. Unlike shopping retail, I find some of the most unique and one off items when I shop vintage shops. Well today I'm rocking my vintage checkered dress slacks that I found about 10 months ago in a local vintage shop and since then they have became one of my favorites.

Of course the pants didn't come nicely fitted the way they look in the photos now. I had to take them to my local tailor to get the pants legs tapered to a slimmer fit and had the hem brought up a little higher. I like vintage dress pants because most of them don't come with belt loops and I rather not have to match up a belt with my shoes and other garments.

The checkered print in the slacks have a good mixture of color, such as orange, dark green, and tan. All of these colors coordinate well with all my accessories which makes my outfit come to life in a stylish way.

I always pair up my chinos and dress pants with blazers rather than wearing full suits because they give off more personality, but I still get that full suit look. The triple monk dress boots are perfect for these pants because I had the hem raised a bit higher so they wouldn't bunch up at the bottom and look better with boots.
