Come checkout the new coffee shop thats buzzing the neighborhood of DTLA...
Just like everyone else I think Starbucks when I'm out and want to grab a coffee. About three months ago just a couple blocks from my local Starbucks in DTLA I started to see Philz Coffee (801 S. Hope St.) cups in almost everyone hand as they walked the streets, and the amount of people just started multiplying every week. Not really familiar with the brand I was interested to finally try this coffee that had started a buzz in downtown LA.
Philz Coffee came about over 25 years ago by Phil Jaber on a quest in search to make a really great cup of coffee. He had an idea to create a blend that was rich, smooth, complex, flavorful, and low in acidity. Phil created over 30 unique blends after visiting thousands of coffee shops from all over the world, and made sure that the coffee making process embodied a personal and social feel. This process inspired him to design his own coffee station allowing every cup to be crafted one cup at a time.
The vision that Phil had 25 years ago you can see & feel the moment you walk into his coffee shop. As I entered I noticed people enjoying the environment, as well as the personalized cup that was brewed just for them.
With a small glimpse of the menu you realize that you're not just at an ordinary coffee shop and after experiencing their amazing service making your very own coffee you leave feeling really special.
